Dear Glenashton community,
I hope this finds you all safe and healthy. As you are aware, the Premier of Ontario has announced, on the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, the extension of the declaration of emergency across the province and the continued closure of licensed child care centres until June 30, 2020, at which point it will be reassessed. While there was mention of childcare re-opening being part of phase 2, at this time we do not have any further details to provide.
All enrolled children spots will be secure until the reopening of the centre. Upon receiving instructions on reopening, all parents/ guardians will be notified of updates on changes to centres practices and routines to ensure the on-going health and safety of the entire Glenashton community. In preparation for these changes, all staff members have been engaged in professional development and regular virtual meetings.
In the meantime our staff have been busy creating videos to keep your children engaged. You can access this material through our website, Instagram and Facebook. Don’t forget to share posts of your family enjoying these great activities while also sharing ideas of what else you would like to see. We will continue to keep you informed of any further development.
